Easy Slow Cooker Kalua Pork
This salty, tender juicy pork is a family favorite in our house! We love to make sandwiches or drizzle with BBQ sauce!

Ingredients
- 4-6 lb Pork Roast (I used pork tenderloin but you can also use a pork shoulder or butt roast if you prefer that cut)
- 3 tbsp Pink Himalayan Salt, Ground (I find it in the spice aisle at Costco and Walmart)
- 2-3 tbsp liquid smoke
- ½-1 cup water (or enough water to cover the bottom 1/3 of the roast in a slow cooker to prevent meat from drying out)
Instructions
- Line slow cooker with liner for easy clean up (optional). Place roast in slow cooker. Add water to roast to pre-vent the meat from drying out. Pour liquid smoke over meat, evenly. Sprinkle salt over meat, evenly. Cook on high for 4-6 hours or until meat is tender.Remove meat, trim excess fat, and shred. Skim juices of fat and reserve about 1⁄4-1/2 cup (or more) of juices to pour over meat for moisture and flavor. Serve plain, with whole grain rolls, or top with about 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce per serving.
